A  big congratulation to the success of the Commune’s most significant event so far! On September 23rd 2006,  Commune by the Great Wall Kempinski welcomed over 900 guests from around the world at its Grand Opening with the launch of the new Rock Valley includes 31 villas and 190 guest rooms along with Commune of the Children(the Kid’s Club), Anantara Spa, Conference Centre, and Fitness Room.

At 6 pm on the day, guests including foreign diplomats, government officials, corporate CEOs from top organizations, famous artists, celebrities and journalists gathered for the ceremony. The flame signifying the official grand opening was ignited together by Ms. Zhang Xin, Co-CEO of SOHO China, Mr. Pan Shiyi, Chairman and Co-CEO of SOHO China, Mr. Reto Wittwer, President and CEO of Kempinski, Mr. Yves Wencker, General Manager of Commune by the Great Wall Kempinski, and other major contributors. From then on, Commune by the Great Wall Kempinski marked its most enlargement in scale and fame with its unique collection of architecture in benefits of a luxury hotel.

On this special event,guests visited the new villas and other facilities of the Commune, some climbed the Great Wall through our private path. All guests shared a gala dinner followed with fireworks show in the evening while the Commune of the Children treated over 50 kids of our guests along the whole event.
